Yannay Spitzer

I am an economist based Jerusalem and in the Boston area. My research focuses on economic history, migration, political economy, the economics of Israel, and the economic history of the Jewish people.

From 2015 to 2026, I was an economist in the Department of Economics and the PPE Program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I am a research affiliate at the Economic History Programme of CEPR and a member of the Economic History Association, the Economic History Association of Israel, and Economists for Israeli Democracy.
